Status Effects are timed buffs or debuffs that may last for a set duration, they can either affect zombies or humans. They have a wide variety of effects, some as simple as increasing damage done while others slow down movement and the like. Some status effects may be affected by skills or trinkets.

Human Status Effects

Debuffs

Human Debuffs are negative effects that tend to harm or disadvantage survivors. Debuffs can be received from a variety of sources, such as zombies, insanity effects, or even trinkets and skills.

H debuff dim.jpg Dim Vision Reduces how far the victim see. ✓ ✓

H debuff Tremor.png Tremor Aim becomes shaky and recoil is increased. ✗ ✓
H debuff Pain.png Pain All accuracy bonuses are reduced and recoil is increased. ✗ ✓
H debuff sickness.jpg Sickness Decreases heal received by medical sources, stamina regeneration and Leech rate. Also causes to Regeneration to decay and prevents food items from being consumed. ✗ ✓

H debuff Shattered.png Shattered Explode on death, damaging nearby humans. Increases sigil teleportation time by 25%. ✗ ✓

H buff Boiling Blood.png Boiling Blood Reduces blood armor by 75%. Also explode on death, damaging everything nearby. ✗ ✓

H debuff prey.jpg Prey Causes attackers to heal from damaging the victim, and buffs the attacker with Battlecry. ✗ ✗
H debuff nightmare.jpg Nightmare Some UI elements do not show the actual value, it affects the Health Bar, Stamina, Sigil Indicator, Ammo Indicator, Fear-O-Meter. ✗ ✗
H buff Anchor.png Anchor Reduces jump power by 25% and self-knockback by 100%. ✗ ✗
H debuff Winter's Curse.png Winter's Curse Reduces max health. Decays overtime or when buffed with Warmth. ✗ ✗
H debuff Cripple.png Cripple Reduces attack speed and reload speed by -3% per stack. ✗ ✗
H debuff Maim.png Maim Greatly slowed and prevented from jumping. Not affected by skill modifiers. ✗ ✗
H debuff Dread.png Dread Reduces melee damage by -18% and repair rate by -30%. Transform into a Dread Shadow upon death. ✗ ✗

Buffs

Buffs are beneficial effects for humans. They are usually received from skills and weapons when certain conditions are met or can be applied at anytime by medical tools and food.

H buff broadside.png Broadside Increases weapon radius by +8% per stack and adds +1 bullet penetration per stack which does 10% bullet damage. ✓
H buff virtuoso.png Virtuoso Increases rounds and attachment effects by +12% per stack and weapon buildup rate by +12% per stack. ✓
H buff volatile.png Volatile Zombies you kill explode for +4% of their maximum health in damage per stack. ✓

H buff Warm.jpg Warm Increases melee damage by +15% depending on weapon tier and quality. Reverses Winter's Curse. ✗

H buff slipstream.png Slipstream No movement speed penalty from phasing. ✗
H buff camouflage.png Camouflage Makes you nearly invisible and no movement speed penalty from phasing. ✗
H buff regeneration.png Regeneration Heal slowly overtime. ✓
H buff on painkillers.png On Painkillers Gain temporary health that decays over time. Removes pain debuff and low-health view-shake. ✗
H buff momentum.png Momentum Consume no ammo or stamina. ✗
H buff phantom.png Phantom Your health aura becomes invisible. ✗
H buff corruption walker.png Corruption Walker Can teleport from corrupted sigils and prevents teleports from being interrupted. ✗
H buff leech.png Leech Rapidly grants blood armor. ✓
H buff bloodhunter.png Blood Hunter Gain bounty progress from dealing damage. ✗
H buff infernal.png Infernal Deal fire damage with all weapons, but also become ignited. ✗

Zombie Status Effects

Debuff

Zombie debuffs primarily serve to weaken zombies by increasing the damage that they receive or by reducing their movement speed. Zombie debuffs are applied primarily by offensive trinkets, but can also be applied by weapons with innate debuff applying properties, flasks and grenades.

Z debuff irradiation.png Irradiation Take damage over time and spread to nearby zombies. ✓

Z debuff carved.png Carve Reduce movement speed and damage by 5% per stack. ✗
Debuff fire.jpg ZE Fire Take damage over time, Causes the victim move slower. ✗

Buffs

Zombie buffs primarily serve to increase the damage that zombies deal and increase their survivability. Buffs that cause something to occur upon death can only be granted by the Z-Director and usually only occur at the start of the round when humans are able to spawn-camp the z-gas.
