"Walled City" Is a house map in Garry's Mod For The Zombie Survival Gamemode and is currently in rotation on all Sunrust servers.

It was developed by Soft Serve in 2015 before being ported to zs by Judas with some changes

Design

Topdown of the map

The Design of the map was made originally for the ZM gamemode, and with the self imposed restriction that the playable area should be no larger than 1024^3 hu.

Earlier ports of the map to zs included rooms around the edge of the map in order to add extra sigils not focused in the central building. These additional rooms have been removed in the latest version.

Gameplay

Topdown of the playable space

Butcher's Den is a multi-focus house map with a small barn located ~512 hammer units away from the back of the house. The overall playable space of the map is ~30722 hammer units. The z-spawns average ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.

There are several potential sigil locations, many of which are single-entrance with only a few double entrances.

Development

Older versions of the map mostly featured Half-life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source content. Laster releases added assets from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Resistance and Liberation, and from friends of johnny moe including: Jakobi O'Brien, Short, and Stuffy360.
