Status Effects are timed buffs or debuffs that may last for a set duration, they can either affect zombies or humans. They have a wide variety of effects, some as simple as increasing damage done while others slow down movement and the like. Some status effects may be affected by skills or trinkets.

Human Status Effects

Debuff

Human Debuff are negative effects that tend to harm or apply a disadvantage to the human, these debuffs can be applied by zombies, some insanity effects, or even trinkets like Bleeding Bauble.

H debuff wound.jpg Wounds Overrides all healing received by medical source or Bloodlust when the victim doesn't have poison or bleeding. ✗ ✓
H debuff enfeeble.jpg Enfeeble Increases damage taken by 40% from all sources ✓ ✗
H debuff gunk.jpg Gunk Reduces the accuracy and firing speed with Guns. ✗ ✓
H debuff frost.jpg Frost Reduces Melee speed, and stamina regen delay speed by 20%. ✗ ✓
H debuff sickness.jpg Sickness Decreases heal received by medical sources, stamina regeneration and Leech rate, causes to Regeneration to decay, prevents food items from being consumed. ✗ ✓
H debuff dim.jpg Dim Vision Reduces how far the victim see. ✓ ✗
H debuff knockdown.jpg Knockdown Prevents the user from moving and doing anything else. ✗ ✗
H debuff nightmare.jpg Nightmare Some UI elements do not show the actual value, it affects the Health Bar, Stamina, Sigil Indicator, Ammo Indicator, and Fear-O-Meter. ✗ ✗

H buff shstack.jpg Shield Prevents one melee damage received, loses a stack after blocking. ✓
H buff reaper.jpg Reaper Increases +8% damage dealt per stack. ✓
H buff fervor.jpg Fervor Increase attack speed by +8% and reload speed by +5% per stack. ✓

Z debuff serrate.jpg Serrate Take damage over time, stacking up to 5 times.
Z debuff shock.jpg Shock Take damage over time, and pulse slow.
Z debuff spotted.jpg Spotted Receive slightly more damage.
