A mine layer that shoots out simple tripmines that attach to surfaces.
Appearance
The 'Carrion' Mine Layer resembles that of the Resistance RPG from the Half Life Series.
Gameplay
The 'Carrion' Mine Layer is a Tier 1 gun that requires Explosive ammo to fire.
Primary fire shoots a small laser tripmine that automatically explodes once a zombie passes the laser. Aiming at a mine while using Secondary fire allows the user to deactivate the mine and collect it as raw explosive ammo.
Pros
The 'Carrion' is a "fire and forget" weapon, meaning that it can be only fired once and can be set off once zombies touch the laser tripwire, ensuring the user guaranteed points for every use.
Mines have the ability to do headshot damage on zombies should the laser collide on the zombie's head hitbox.
Cons
The 'Carrion' is a explosive weapon, requiring the user to score multiple kills or only headshot damage to earn minimal profit to sustain the already expensive explosive ammo.
Mines are counted as a destructible entity, allowing zombies to destroy them if they're within reach, free from damage.
At its basic form the user can only place six mines at a time, forcing the user to remantle it to honed or better to increase mine capacity.
