Just keep scoring kills because once fervor runs out, you will be back in your regular movement speed.

Weapons such as the 'Reaver' Greataxe and 'Anguish' Dual Sickles that can give fervor once killed a zombie can boost your speed without relying on Festering Scourge.

Because fervor now boosts your movement speed, you will go much more faster than other humans. It also stacks well with the Speed and Adrenaline status.
