The Design of the map was made originally for the ZM gamemode, and with the self imposed restriction that the playable area should be no larger than 1024^3 hu. &amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Earlier ports of the map to zs included rooms around the edge of the map in order to add extra sigils not focused in the central building. These additional rooms have been removed in the latest version.&lt;br /&gt;

The z-spawns average ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first map for the zombie survival map, it underwent continuous development from 2017 before being officially released on the workshop in 2019.
