"Butcher's Den", is a house map in Garry's Mod for the Zombie Survival gamemode. It was developed by johnny moe

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first map for the zombie survival gamemode, it underwent continuous development from 2017 before being officially released on the workshop in 2019. There are a dozen older versions of the map under the names zs_butchers_den and zs_bdf. Forever was added to the title in the 2020 update as it was supposed to be the last version, but the map has been occasionally updated as late as 2022.

Design
The map is set in a nondescript location in south-western Texas. The house itself is inspired by an actual Victorian farmhouse plan. The theme is inspired by the film, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

Beta versions of the map lack a lot of outdoor geometry compared to the later releases. Earlier versions were also hard for the survivors to win due to having too many entrances. The map has become more survivor-sided with time.
Gameplay
Butcher's Den is a multi-focus house map with a small barn located ~512 hammer units away from the back of the house. The overall playable space of the map is ~30722 hammer units. The z-spawns average ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.

There are several potential sigil locations, many of which are single-entrance with only a few double entrances.

Development
Older versions of the map mostly featured Half-life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source content. Later releases added assets from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Resistance and Liberation, and from friends of johnny moe including: Jakobi O'Brien, Short, and Stuffy360.
This is the first map to feature a handful of props by johnny moe who had just begun learning Blender. These props include: Last Call bar sign, courthouse text, Sunrust neon sign, and commercial storefront doors.
The map is set in a nondescript city in the United States a few days after an unknown apocalyptic event unfolds. There is no electricity, no food, and everyone is attempting to escape.
"Butcher's Den", is a house map in Garry's Mod for the Zombie Survival gamemode. It was developed by johnny moe

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first map for the zombie survival map, it underwent continuous development from 2017 before being officially released on the workshop in 2019.

Later releases added assets from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Resistance and Liberation, and from friends of johnny moe including: Jakobi O'Brien, Short, and Stuffy360.
"Last Call", is a city map in Garry's Mod for the Zombie Survival gamemode. It was developed by johnny moe

Last Call was designed for the "Post-Apocalyptic" themed, 16th Sunrust Mapping Contest hosted between May 17th and July 1st of 2023. The map was developed in just over a month and finished in 1st place.
This is the first map to feature a handful of props by johnny moe who had just begun learning Blender. These props include: Last Call bar sign, courthouse text, Sunrust neon sign, and commercial storefront doors.

Development
The map makes use of assets from Left 4 Dead, Counter-Strike: Source, Resistance and Liberation, and Korrespond who made three neon signs for the bar windows.

When entering through The Front Door players will enter in The Living Room, a layout comprising of a small room with two barred windows and three door ways that leads to The Garage, the hallway, or outside.

When defending The Garage there's two node of entrances humans must defend, the doorway and the window.

The hallways will have players access to The Kitchen, The Bathroom, and stairs to the second floor.

If defending The Kitchen, it will contain a one entry way layout with standard kitchen props. While the bathroom's layout is also one entry way with a barred window to it, only having one blue bookcase prop inside.

[[File:LCH SF.png|thumb|left|upright=0.90|
The Second Floor.
]]

If defending the second floor, the layout consists of another living room with a electrobar trap to The Front Balcony and a computer room with three entrances in need of defending, the balconies and the stairs.

If defending The Computer Room, it will be a very tight room with a breakable wall that only zombies can destroy.

When roaming outside, there's a electrified fence to the right of the zspawn connected to a generator, the front lawn covered in destroyed cars and fire, a pool to the back of the house, and a pile of rubble that allows players have access to the garage window or the balconies.

Tips
It's not advised to stay outside for long due to how small the map and how smart player zombies are capable to hit you when you're hugging the outer ring on the second floor of the house.

Again due to how small the map is expect Metagame and/or Z-Director to spawn in hordes of Great Evils or Demibosses, forcing the humans to both cade well and not DPS as much in the beginning.

Avoid the trap hazards present in the map, as they can easily kill unsuspecting players if given the chance.

(Zombies only): When going around the house to climb on the rubble, it is possible to enter through The Front Balcony as a regular zombie by having to parkour on the outer rings connected to the second floor of the house.

(Zombies only): Zombies are still able to hit humans through the barred windows. Meaning playing as the Pukepus, The Grave Digger, or Tickle Monster can almost guarantee the player a kill under the circumstances.

Trivia
[[File:LCH EE.gif|thumb|left|upright=1.0|
Neighbor's exploding.
]]

Once Wave 1 intermission begins, a scream is heard outside by the house out of bounds, exploding soon after with a generic alien string sound occurring, this would likely be the neighbor's last action before dying to zombies; the alien sound is played for laughs.

Before the current map version, The Garage itself was able to be open by just hitting the button on the side, this was removed later to prevent griefers from letting zombies in the garage potentially killing off everyone in The Garage and The Living Room as a result.
Wild Wood Resort was designed and competed in the Sunrust March 2023 Mapper's contest, which would meet the specifications of being within a 2048^3 hammer unit play space.
The map was completed within the first two weeks of the contest, being the first submission.

Wild Wood Retreat, while lacking the appearance of a resort, takes place in a small box valley, featuring a small building led in by a closed tunnel entrance. Wooden structures line the cliff faces, arching over the canyon. The map has a strong focus on nature and lighting.
During the development process, there were a few experiments with phys_ball_sockets, constrained entities, and ropes, but these were subsequently removed after testing, due to unreliability and concern for player interest.
"Truckyard", is a small map in Garry's Mod for the Zombie Survival gamemode. It was developed by Kevdu

Truckyard was the first-ever map created by Kevdu, it underwent continuous development from 2019 and 2022 before being officially released on the workshop in 2022. There are a dozen older versions of the map under the name zs_truckyard. Truckyard v5 was created as the final remaster featuring many optimization, design and balance changes, but the map has been occasionally been updated.

Design
The theme is heavily inspired by the hit-game, Half-Life 2

Older versions of the map lack a lot of outdoor geometry compared to the later releases. Earlier versions were also hard for the survivors to win due to the cading spots being close to Zombie Spawn. The map has been easier for the humans but still holds around less than a 15% win rate, as the map was designed to be difficult.
Gameplay
Butcher's Den is a multi-focus house map with a small barn located ~512 hammer units away from the back of the house. The overall playable space of the map is ~30722 hammer units. The z-spawns average ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.

The map has multiple variety of props to barricade with, making it very friendly to the caders, but at a cost of heavy close-cornered choke points that force sightlines to be broken off, and easily ambushed by multiple zombies. The map is very small and does not allow players to stand on the roof of buildings.

Development
The map only features Half-life 2 content. Older versions of the map were smaller, and version 1 only features half of the map, where the zombie spawn was located at the end of the street.

Tips
- There is a redeeming spot on top of the water tower, and it also has a room with a T1 rifle and rifle ammo.

- There is a shovel hidden behind the zombie spawn.

- Be careful as the map has many explosive barrels and junk scattered around, you risk getting prop killed.

- Caders should try to nail all props to the wall or ceiling, as there are plenty of props and players will very easily risk moving the props unintentionally and creating a mess.

About The Map
Diner 69 Is a Map that is currently in rotation on Sunrust that was Firstly Released back in May 19th 2019. The Map itself is relatively small in comparison to the other maps however throughout the version history, It has gained size. The Current version is V5b which included a few small edits such as fixing bugs. The Map includes The Main diner which is Themed off A Retro American Diner, And the Newer Version has added a Gas Station next door to the diner for more exploration. A Lot of the Gameplay is focused on the Diner where the Majority of the Sigils are Located. There are A Few Areas within the Diner such as the Main Eating area, Behind the bar, Toilets, Kitchen, Freezer/Stock room and Finally the Backroom for Employees. A lot of the Map solely uses Custom textures and models to enhance the feel of that American Diner experience. However it does include some Counter Strike Source and Half Life 2 Content as well such as Textures and Models to still make sure that it has that Source and HL2 Feel to it.

Layout
[[File:Diner69PlanView.jpg|thumb|center|upright=1.50|
The Plan View of Diner 69.
]]

Diner 69 Is a Relatively small map Which consists of two zombie spawn locations: Left Side of the Road and The Right side of the Road. (Next to the Combine APCs).
Diner 69 Has A Few Sigils dotted around the place such as... Both Restrooms, The Kitchen, Staff Room, Behind the Bar and In the Freezer Room.

Tips
-It is a Good idea to Make sure that all Front Windows are Barricaded before the Rounds Start This is to Ensure Zombies Cannot Access The Diner Early on in the Rounds.
-Make Sure The Kitchen Vent is Monitored as this allows Crawlers and Headcrabs to gain Access to the Back of the Diner where the Majority of the Sigils are Located.

Trivia
There is an Easter Egg next to the Far Right Window With Two Dolls and a Mini Table Suggesting they are Eating Food.

There is a Second Easter Egg Showing the Previous Map Location before the Map was Remade.
"Butcher's Den", is a house map in for the Garry's Mod Zombie Survival gamemode. It was developed by johnny moe

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first map for the zombie survival map, it underwent continuous development from 2017 before being officially released on the workshop in 2019.

Layout
[[File:CP TV.gif.gif|thumb|center|upright=1.50|
The top view look of the map.
]]

Checkpoint is a medium size bunker style map, the map has custom spawns made in place with human spawn outside in front of the bunker entrance, and zombie spawn starting behind the collapsed tunnel entrance (While zombie spawn expands outward closer to the bunker on wave 3 and 6).

[[File:CP Generator.png|thumb|left|upright=.85|
The Generator for the Power Cores
]]

The map has 3 unique prop entities called Power Cores, these cores are vital for survival as they're needed to unlock the bases' main functionalities; opening the bunker entrance, unlocking the medical bay and armory, and powering up the Takara Holy Laser Cannon IV (Note: laser cannon no longer works with current map version.)

Power Cores can only be collected once the charges break the cavein. Once round starts the cores will be in 3 separate locations; one is located in the supply truck right behind the cavein rocks, the second located in the oil derrick room to the right next to the dead base commander, and the last core is located in the very bottom of the water purification room to the left underneath smaller water pipes.

Once using one of the cores to open the bunker entrance, the bunker splits into the first 3 passage ways humans can travel to, heading left or right will lead humans to one of the side entrances of the bunker with red and green buttons that controls the lock/unlock functions to them (green being unlock and red locked).

On second 3 passage way further down the middle, heading left will lead humans to the armory and the power room, heading right will lead to the medical bay and pipe room, continuing through the middle will lead humans to their final destination, the control room.

If one of the cores are used to unlock the armory and Medbay, each of them will consists of items enough to sustain humans up to wave 3, when the red medical keycard and blue Armory keycard spawn in randomized set locations.

*The Medbay will consists of 2 large medkits and 1 smaller one open and free to use not locked behind the gate. Opening the gate with a keycard will allow humans have access to; 5 more large medkits and 13 smaller ones, 1 Medcharger, 'Savior' Medic Gun, Medical Kit, Bloodshot Bomb, and Medic Cloud Bomb.

*The Armory will consists of small props needed for Barricading free to use not locked behind the gate. Opening the gate with a keycard will allow humans have access to; 2 packs of SMG, Rifle, Pistol, and crossbow ammo, 4 Grenades, 'Eraser' Tactical Pistol, 'Crossfire' Glock, 'Zombie Drill' Desert Eagle, 'Sprayer' MAC-10, 'Aegis' Barricader Kit, 'Annabelle' Birdshot Rifle, 'Akbar' Assault Rifle, 2 Molotovs, 'Oberon' Pulse Shotgun, 'Splinter' Sawed-Off Shotgun, 'Sweeper' Shotgun, 'Impaler' Crossbow, 'Shredder' SMG, 2 Shovels, Carpenter's Hammer, Mechanic's Wrench.
**Once 80% infliction (total humans dead) occurs, the master security locker will unlock releasing these weapons for humans; 'Terminus' SCAR-L, 'Tiny' Slug Rifle, 'Long Arm' Handgun.

[[File:CP CT.png|thumb|left|upright=.85|
The Control Room.
]]

As Control room is usually considered to be the final stand for humans the layout consists of a wide entry way with a secret service vent leading to the power room and a barred window leading to the pipe room.

Tips
Once the round starts it is extremely vital to rush in and acquire said Power Cores before zombies have chance to establish ambush spots in rooms.

Not using a power core to unlock the Medbay and Armory will allow humans set easier chokepoints. Since the Medbay has a shortcut entry way to one of the side entrances to the bunker, potentially killing everyone next to the hallway sigil next to Medbay should zombie group rushes occurs.

(Zombies only): If humans have locked one of the side entrances you may be able to hit the control panel next to them, forcibly unlocking the entrances if needed.

(Zombies only): You're able to cut humans off if you head to the left entry way first as there's a drop off to the power room and a secret vent in the middle underneath the water catwalk leading to The Control Room.

Trivia
[[File:CP EE1.png|thumb|left|upright=1.00|
Easter Egg monitor showing Reactor 15.
]]

In the Control Room, there's a still frame image of the map maker's previous map Reactor 15. With another monitor showing reactors 15 and 7 disabled due to The Undead.

In the current version, you will see a burning destroyed red laser cannon that was once the original cannon for the map that was capable of instantly killing everything caught in its radius.

Before current version, human players were required to retrieve the base commander's keycard to unlock the master security locker once wave 4 occurs, this concept was changed to 80% infliction due to how nigh impossible it was to grab the keycard from the oil derrick room and back with zgas being expanded in wave 3.

Abandoned Mall is a large size mall style map consisting of five zombie spawn locations: The Public Restrooms, The Loading Area, The Main Entrance, The Frozen Storage of ShopRite, and The Elevators.

If the sigils fail to load in or classic mode is set then humans will spawn in the BestBuy.

When exiting out of BestBuy, the first three way pathways occur. Heading left will lead humans to the vent entrance of The Public Restrooms. and the Arbys. Heading right leads to The Elevators, and ShopRite.

Going Left

Going Right

If defending Arbys, the layout contains four large breakable glass windows that will instantly lead to the restaurant itself, a kitchen with a workable radio playing stereotypical mall music, and a cold storage with a breakable vent leading to Bar XYZ.

If heading towards ShopRite, the layout will consist of a stereotypical supermarket out look on front but contains a pharmacy with a workable Medcharger. Going to the back contains The Frozen Storage.

Continuing down to the middle will lead humans into the second three way split, heading left will instantly lead humans to the main entry of The Public Restrooms, The loading Area, and the movie theater. Heading right will lead humans to The Main Entrance, Buffalo Wild Wings, and the Security Office. Continuing to go down through the middle will lead humans to their final destination, The Food Court.

Going Left

Going Right

Middle

If defending at Buffalo, the layout consists of a two floor restaurant with two restrooms next to each other at the corner, and a kitchen with cold storage at the back.

If defending the Security Office, the layout consists of two large breakable windows that will lead to the main room of the office, going in the chief's office will have a large unbreakable window, the Holding area has a large breakable glass window, and the closet has a shovel (Note:The Shovel is now a prop.).

If defending the Movie Theater, the layout consists of a close tight entry with one entrance leading to the Big Screen. Heading up to the seatings will lead to a breakable glass pane to the film room, going to the other side will send humans to the Film Storage room.

Tips
The map is incredibly large and spacious, making it a perfect opportunity to practice sniper rifles and targeting headshots.

There's one large medkit in the middle dressing room of Xpress and a working Medcharger in the Pharmacy of ShopRite.

All the minor stores along the way have unbreakable glass windows to them, essentially making them only one way entrances for randomly spawned sigils.

(Zombies Only): Although you're at a disadvantage at first due to the spacious layout of the map, this is the perfect opportunity to practice Propkilling.
As The Public Restrooms has three paintcans capable of instant killing humans, once wave 2 begins one may play as a Wraith and set up Ambushes by settling near benches and have them ready to propkill unsuspecting humans.

The metal barrier next to the Manager's Office in ShopRite and The Mini Appliance store is breakable, allowing both humans and zombies to cut through Buffalo without having to go around the long way.

There's a free Plank behind the side glass display of Pac-sun.

Laster releases added assets from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Resistance and Liberation, and from friends of johnny moe including: Jakobi O'Brien, Short, and Stuffy360.
"Butcher's Den", is a house map in Garry's Mod for Zombie Survival. It was developed by johnny moe

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first zombie survival map, it underwent continuous development for one year before being officially released on the workshop. There are several older versions of the map under the name zs_butchers_den and zs_bdf.

The overall playable space of the map is ~30723 hammer units. The average z-spawns are ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.

There are several potential sigil locations, many of which are single-entrance with only a few double entrances.

Development
Older versions of the map mostly featured Half-life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source content. Laster releases added assets from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Resistance and Liberation, and from friends of johnny moe including: Jakobi O'Brien, Short, and Stuffy360.
Butcher's Den is a multi-focus house map with a small barn located ~512 hammer units away from the back of the house. The overall playable space of the map is ~30723 hammer units. The average z-spawns are ~1536 hammer units away from the closest engagement points.

There are several potential sigil locations, many of which are single-entrance with only a few double entrances.
"Butcher's Den", is a house map in Garry's Mod Zombie Survival. It was developed by johnny moe

As Butcher's Den was johnny moe's first zombie survival map, it underwent continuous development for one year before being officially released on the workshop. There are several older versions of the map under the name zs_butchers_den and zs_bdf.

Gameplay
Butcher's Den is a singular-focus house map with a medium-sized barn ~512 hammer units. The playable space is ~30723 hammer units.
